Christmas Cardinals E2E

I also did the binding on the quilt. Don’t you just love that backing! Gah!

Hello Monday! Hello Christmas Cardinals.

I got to work on this quilt top today. Is it not beautiful. I am not sure of the name of the pattern. I will get that information tomorrow. But it is really beautiful and unique! The colors and the pattern is just so cool. I would definitely love to have time to make one. We used the edge to edge Christmas Cardinals in a pretty big print. They are hard to see on that white but it turned out real cute. You can definitely see the cardinals on the white really well.

I am finally getting caught up (hopefully) tomorrow on the Stellar Star quilt! I have been excited to start on it. I am going to read the pattern over tonight and I always highlight the size and directions that I need. I am testing another one of Amanda’s patterns this week also! So lots of fun stuff to work on while I longarm quilt client quilts.

We are also a sponsor for one week for the Shine quilt pattern sew along that Suzy @SuzyQuilts is putting on starting September 23 I do believe! The pattern is another really cool one and I will doing one of those too. I need quilts for my Christmas show so these three will be perfect addition.

Ok………….. I really don’t know anymore. I am really just kind of tired and blah today. The cooler weather is making me want to stay in bed and read all day. Anyone else?

Kayaking fun

Hello Sweet Friends! I hope this finds you doing well. I have had the best time with my son home from Pennsylvania. Yesterday we went Kayaking out at the Glendale State Wildlife Preserve. The skies are filled with smoke from the fires out west. It gives this curtain feeling. You know the sun is there but you can’t see it from the blanket of smoke. My heart hurts from the fires and all the terrible things going on in our world right now. This week of taking off work and doing things to distract me from the news and reality has been a God send. Today we are taking off and going to the Fire Tower that is close to us and climbing to the top of it. Another thing that we enjoy doing together!

I have had a few quilts on the longarm since he has been here. And we had our big show at the Chandelier Barn Market this past weekend. We took our quilts that I have been working on over the year. It went really well and I am so thankful for that. We are part of their Christmas show this year too so starting next week I will be working like crazy to get ready for that. I decided I am taking all neutral quilts this time as I really love neutrals and I really want to get to where my quilts are distinguishable from the client quilts I work on. Now to decide what to do with all the colored fabric I have. I guess I will slowly start when winter gets here of putting them into bundles and getting them on Etsy!

Well I hope this finds you doing well. A quick reminder that as of right now we are 2 weeks out on our longarm quilting. So if you are wanting to get a quilt done and back fast get your request in!

Until next time!

Lisa

Marmalade Quilting Design

Hello Friends! I couldn’t wait to show you pictures of this beautiful quilt I was working on this past weeks. It is a really fun pattern called Framed Flowers by Hoffman fabrics. The panel is called Dream Big. I worked with my client to pick out this beautiful edge to edge design called Marmalade. I think it turned out beautiful! The texture and the design just did so much to compliment this quilt. Can you believe that this is the first quilt this client has made? No I could not either. It is just fantastic!

We are starting to enter our really busy phase right now with the holidays getting closer. Which is very hard for me to say much less realize. I am just not wanting summer to go. But as much as I do not want it to go I have come to the conclusion that it is coming anyways. So that means you need to get those quilt tops in now to get in line. We are still pushing out at one week but that is getting harder to meet. So get them in and get in line now!

Jenna Luedecke Designs

Jenn from Mountain View Quilter made this gorgeous test version of the Stella Star.

Hello Sweet Friends! I would like to introduce you to my friend Jenna of Jenna Luedecke Designs. She is a pattern maker and just released her new pattern Stella Star! It is a beginner friendly pattern for Foundation Paper Piecing. If you have never done it before now is a great time to learn! In fact she is getting ready to start her Stella Star Quilt A Long. I joined it. I’ve been wanting to learn how to paper piece for a long time. I’ve looked over the pattern and it completely looks doable for us newbies! Jenna also makes stunning quilts that I have had the opportunity to work on!

This is one of her quilts I worked on. The fabrics are from the Rifle Paper Co. Their fabric is so drool worthy and if money was no option I would have it all. Just check out that backing. We used the edge to edge Baptist Fans by Three Sisters Fabric. I think it turned out beautiful!

This is another one of Jenna’s that I worked on. The pattern is called Heart2Heart and it is by LaFortuna Designs, it is a new pattern coming out and you can watch her Etsy for the release. We used the edge to edge by Karlee Porter Designs called Mexican Tile 2. I love how this turned out! Perfect. I was a little skeptical at first but once I started I knew this was the best edge to edge for this pattern. Her colors are gorgeous. This quilt is beautiful wouldn’t you agree?

Well it is Thursday friends. We have almost made it to another weekend. It is crazy how fast the weeks are flying by. I wish they would slow down. I have so much I want to do, need to do, want to read, and want to paint. There is just now enough of me to get around and this week my neck and back have no been cooperating with me. Phew!

I hope you all have a great day!

Client Quilt 135

Hello Friends! Check out this beautiful Meadowland quilt I got to work on that was pieced by Jane. The fabrics are so pretty. Jane chose the edge to edge Triple Clamshell by Karlee Porter Designs.

Isn’t that backing just adorable too. I really never use the color yellow but this is making me change my mind!

I hope all is well in your neck of the woods. I have been busy and while I’ve been busy I have been taking a class from Jenna Kutcher and listening to her podcast. She gives really good solid advice for small business owners. Check her out! What are some of your favorite podcasts? Let me know so I can check them out!

Till next time

Coral and Co

We had the opportunity to work with Shelly from Coral & Co on her new pattern. She contacted us wanting us to longarm quilt her quilt top and we were super excited. The pattern is called Tinsel Time and it is the sweetest holiday quilt pattern. It is simplistic and very modern. I love that about it. But at the same time you could use some pattern fabric and make it so fun!

We used the edge to edge design “Let it Snow” by Urban Elementz.

Inspiration Quilt & Client Quilt

I found this week that I had lost my inspiration for making a quilt. I cannot remember the last time I made one and I have a couple of test patterns coming up so I needed to jump back into it. So I pulled all my flower scraps out and did 9 inch blocks and pulled this quilt top together. I used the Compass edge to edge on it and I am loving how it turned out. I just need to get the binding done on it and it is headed to its new home. The lady has cancer and I hope the flowers brighten her day!

This is a client quilt I worked on. I have done a few for her. She likes her quits quilted very dense. Just look at all that texture on the back. I love it. I think the quilt itself was just beautiful and the quilting just adds the final touch!

It is raining here in Indiana like monsoon rain. We have had to empty our pool three times already as it was too full. It needs it again. I know the corn needed the rain but now I am ready for it to go on. I need to see some blue skies!! I hope you day is filled with sunshine and good deeds!

Client Quilt 117

Hello Friends!

Its my birthday! Yes! A big one at that. I turned the big 55 today. It seems unreal to be 55 years old. I think the older you get the faster time flies. But considering all the things going on in the world right now I feel very blessed to reach my birthday! Honestly with the covid virus hit the US I was wondering if I would make it. It sounded, and still does, so scary. The first couple months I had very major anxiety. I think we all did. Especially with the lock downs. It still is very scary if you ask me.

Anyway enough gloom. I was able to work on this beautiful quilt pieced by Shelly from Coral & Co. This beautiful pattern, Tinsel Time Quilt, will be coming out August 3rd, 2020. I just love the simplistic lines to the quilt and pattern. The options are limitless on the colors and patterns you could use for this quilt. I am sure she will be doing a quilt a long with the release of the pattern. So watch her website or follow Shelly on Instagram!

I used the edge to edge design Let It Snow by Urban Elementz. It is one of my favorites for holiday quilts. It stitches out so pretty and flowing. Very easy pattern to work with.

Happy Saturday!

Client Quilt 115

Hello Friends!

I hope your having a great day! Things are good here. I just busted another toe, but that is like perfectly normal for me. So life goes on. It helps having a high pain tolerance! But enough about me. How are you doing? How is your world? How is your mental health? The corona virus seems to be taking front and center again and now all the schools are trying hard to figure out how to get the kids back to school. I don’t agree with that. If your a parent how do you feel about sending your kids back to school?

I was lucky enough to get to work on this beautiful quilt by Amanda @Quiltcakes! It was so gorgeous and we picked out Crystalline for the edge to edge design. Amanda makes beautiful quilts that are very square. The edge to edge lined up perfectly and never went off the quilt once! She inspires me! It turned out perfect. But the quilt was already perfect so it’s to be expected.

My birthday is this month so I am going to be having a big give away on my Instagram. So make sure you are following me over there! User name is Lavenderfieldsco.

This week we are quilting away on client quilts. I am cutting out a quilt. Something I have not done in a long time. I am ready to get a quilt top done and on the machine. I have some edge to edge designs that I am wanting to try. What is your favorite E2E design? Do you send your quilt tops out to a longarm quilter? I did a few times before I recieved my long arm machine. I just love how they crinkle up after their wash! A good longarm quilter is like putting sprinkles on a beautiful quilt top!

Well I hate to spew and run but………… my afternoon coffee is waiting on me!
