This quilt was sent in for me to work on. She even pieced the backing, third picture. We used Diagonal Plaid on it and I just love how it turned out. It is a beautiful quilt and another one that was hard to let go off! That texture! Amiright?!?
I hope your having a great week! I worked on this beautiful quilt that Judy brought to me. Judy loves very dense quilting and she had picked out the edge to edge design called Sticks and Stones. Then she went even further on texture by adding the green thread to show on the white backing. It turned out really good and definitely lots of texture!
I was working on a quilt this morning and I heard something fall from the machine. It was a nut off of a screw somewhere. I was afraid to go any further, so I waited, all day for my husband to get home. Come to find out it was off one of the thread holders that I wasn’t even using. Dang! Lost a whole day. But better safe than sorry!
So tomorrow I will play catch up! It is what it is! But really….. what about this quilt? Do you like colored thread or just white? I lean toward white unless the quilt is all color with no white. Then I’ll look for colored thread!
Well time to sign off. The sun has gone down and I hear the bath calling my name! Have a great night friends!
I wanted to share this beautiful Meadowland quilt with you! The colors and fabrics are so beautiful! We used Coastline as the edge to edge and I binded it with the backing fabric. The pattern you can get from Then Cane June.
I’m so in love with the backing fabric too! Lilac has been speaking to be. I’m working on a crochet blanket in lilac. What is your favorite color right now? Do you ever love a color so much you look up the meaning of it? No? Just me! Lilac is a very powerful color. A color of coming into your own. I’m feeling it!
Today I got to work on this beautiful quilt sent in by Mary from New Orleans! Mary always picks the most beautiful fabrics. She has inspired me to make another Vintage Lace myself!!
We are praying for our friends in Texas and states that have been impacted with the weather we’re all experiencing. Life is so stressful right now. I feel like I’m constantly waiting for the sky to fall. 😭
I was able to work on this beautiful quilt that Lauren sent me! I had so much fun with it. She wanted it stitched out in a low density. It came out perfect. I just love all the colors in this thing! The work is beautiful!
Now I am off to work on a wedding commissioned quilt! Hoping to get a big dent in the top today! Here’s to wishing me luck!
I wanted to share this beautiful quilt I worked on this week. The colors were fantastic and she picked Yodel as the edge to edge and it came out beautiful. I’m loving all the texture on this one and I love love this edge to edge! What do you think?
I am also loving that binding she had me put on! It is a really gorgeous quilt!
Hello friends! I wanted to share these two beauties that Martha sent in to have LongArm quilted.
First this beautiful red florals of Kaffee Fassett fabrics are so striking. We decided it would be fun to use a hot pink thread color! This was a Christmas inspired quilt that Martha made for herself. I just love getting quilts with such vivid colors.
Martha also sent in this beautiful turquoise, blue, and green colored batiks quilt. It was a lot of fun too.
Batiks are a thicker fabric that some have trouble sewing with. I always use a new needle size 18 and I’ve never had any problems with them.
Both quilts stitched out perfectly and I added binding to both and they are heading back home on Monday!
We are getting busier with summer just around the corner. We are participating in several quilt alongs that you can find the information on them on our Instagram.
We have a big project being released in July and working on several commissions. We do take special quilt order requests for weddings and such. If your wanting to schedule a consultation for a commission piece please reach out via our contact form. We would love working with you!
If you are wanting to get your quilt top quilted please send in a request to be put on the calendar. We have a full schedule ongoing but turn around time is right at 3-4 weeks. We try very hard to stay on schedule and we can’t wait to work with you!
This week is already proving to be a good one! I have a secret but I can’t let it out till July! So it will be a big birthday surprise. Some work that I am working on!
I worked on another secret sewing project for a client Friday and finished Monday. Today I worked on this super sweet baby quilt! The pattern is called Square Peg. Leslie pieced it and I used Fort to quilt it. It is so adorable. Don’t you just love these fabrics? Gorgeous!
Today I start physical therapy on my arm. I’m so ready for it. But honestly, it’s so cold here I hate the thought of leaving the house! Tomorrow I have two big quilts to do and I’m looking very forward to them!
I hope you are all somewhere where it’s warm. Or at least inside! If you have any questions about getting a quilt quilted or a custom quilt made reply here or send us a message through the contact page! We can’t wait to hear from you!
I hope you have a great day! It’s early here in Indiana. We’re suppose to be getting snow this afternoon! We shall see.
I got the opportunity last week to work on a few client quilts. My broken arm helped right along and I was so thankful for that! The first quilt was a darling baby quilt. The colors were gorgeous and we used the edge to edge Dainty on it. I just love how it turned out!
The second client quilt was a Christmas quilt that my client and his sister worked on. Those colors!!! We used the edge to edge called Cake Walk and used red thread. Don’t you just love the contrast? A very beautiful quilt!
If you follow me on Instagram we’re going to be going live with an update from the doctor yesterday later on today!
I’m doing ok! Still broken arm but getting a lot more use out of it. Hoping that’s not a bad thing. I go back to the doctor on Tuesday and hopefully will see a lot of healing! 🙏
I wanted to tell you about Suzy Quilts sew along with her new pattern Gather!
I was so thankful that I went a head and did mine early. There is no way I can cut out a quilt right now, but I can LongArm still!
So here’s mine all ready for the LongArm. I used all Kona Cotton solids with some Rifle Paper Co prints on the front and for the back! Can’t wait to get it done!! You should follow the link up above on the first picture and sign up! She’s offering great prizes and we are sponsoring one week with a free LongArm quilting! Yah!
So honestly things are still moving slow here with my arm but I did get a few Longarms done, including binding this week. Albeit with lots more breaks in between!
Any how I can’t wait to see all the pretty gather quilts, if your going to do the sew along let me know!!!
