I was able to work on this beautiful quilt that Lauren sent me! I had so much fun with it. She wanted it stitched out in a low density. It came out perfect. I just love all the colors in this thing! The work is beautiful!
Now I am off to work on a wedding commissioned quilt! Hoping to get a big dent in the top today! Here’s to wishing me luck!
I wanted to share this beautiful quilt I worked on this week. The colors were fantastic and she picked Yodel as the edge to edge and it came out beautiful. I’m loving all the texture on this one and I love love this edge to edge! What do you think?
I am also loving that binding she had me put on! It is a really gorgeous quilt!
Hello friends! I wanted to share these two beauties that Martha sent in to have LongArm quilted.
First this beautiful red florals of Kaffee Fassett fabrics are so striking. We decided it would be fun to use a hot pink thread color! This was a Christmas inspired quilt that Martha made for herself. I just love getting quilts with such vivid colors.
Martha also sent in this beautiful turquoise, blue, and green colored batiks quilt. It was a lot of fun too.
Batiks are a thicker fabric that some have trouble sewing with. I always use a new needle size 18 and I’ve never had any problems with them.
Both quilts stitched out perfectly and I added binding to both and they are heading back home on Monday!
We are getting busier with summer just around the corner. We are participating in several quilt alongs that you can find the information on them on our Instagram.
We have a big project being released in July and working on several commissions. We do take special quilt order requests for weddings and such. If your wanting to schedule a consultation for a commission piece please reach out via our contact form. We would love working with you!
If you are wanting to get your quilt top quilted please send in a request to be put on the calendar. We have a full schedule ongoing but turn around time is right at 3-4 weeks. We try very hard to stay on schedule and we can’t wait to work with you!
This week is already proving to be a good one! I have a secret but I can’t let it out till July! So it will be a big birthday surprise. Some work that I am working on!
I worked on another secret sewing project for a client Friday and finished Monday. Today I worked on this super sweet baby quilt! The pattern is called Square Peg. Leslie pieced it and I used Fort to quilt it. It is so adorable. Don’t you just love these fabrics? Gorgeous!
Today I start physical therapy on my arm. I’m so ready for it. But honestly, it’s so cold here I hate the thought of leaving the house! Tomorrow I have two big quilts to do and I’m looking very forward to them!
I hope you are all somewhere where it’s warm. Or at least inside! If you have any questions about getting a quilt quilted or a custom quilt made reply here or send us a message through the contact page! We can’t wait to hear from you!
Hello Friends! It’s Friday!!! I’m sending these two quilt back out to their owners today!!!
We used Modern Curves on both of them and I just love all the texture. The fabrics and the colors! So pretty.
Friday here is a no work zone. But a maintenance zone. I’ll be cleaning up the studio. Cleaning the machines and oiling them. I have a few stacks of fat quarters I want to get organized. I have some really small scraps that I want to start cutting down to 2.5 inch squares to do a patch work quilt. I still can’t hardly cut yet so that will have to wait!
I hope you have a great day! It’s early here in Indiana. We’re suppose to be getting snow this afternoon! We shall see.
I got the opportunity last week to work on a few client quilts. My broken arm helped right along and I was so thankful for that! The first quilt was a darling baby quilt. The colors were gorgeous and we used the edge to edge Dainty on it. I just love how it turned out!
The second client quilt was a Christmas quilt that my client and his sister worked on. Those colors!!! We used the edge to edge called Cake Walk and used red thread. Don’t you just love the contrast? A very beautiful quilt!
If you follow me on Instagram we’re going to be going live with an update from the doctor yesterday later on today!
I’m doing ok! Still broken arm but getting a lot more use out of it. Hoping that’s not a bad thing. I go back to the doctor on Tuesday and hopefully will see a lot of healing! 🙏
I wanted to tell you about Suzy Quilts sew along with her new pattern Gather!
I was so thankful that I went a head and did mine early. There is no way I can cut out a quilt right now, but I can LongArm still!
So here’s mine all ready for the LongArm. I used all Kona Cotton solids with some Rifle Paper Co prints on the front and for the back! Can’t wait to get it done!! You should follow the link up above on the first picture and sign up! She’s offering great prizes and we are sponsoring one week with a free LongArm quilting! Yah!
So honestly things are still moving slow here with my arm but I did get a few Longarms done, including binding this week. Albeit with lots more breaks in between!
Any how I can’t wait to see all the pretty gather quilts, if your going to do the sew along let me know!!!
We’re back up and running. Arm is still broken but I am getting less pain with it and a tiny bit mobility. Catherine is loading quilts for me and I finish them up. We worked on this colorful snowman quilt yesterday. The client picked the famous Midnight Sparkle for the edge to edge. So dang cute!
It felt really great being back working but I did have some anxiety. I mean what would life be like with no anxiety!
I don’t like to talk politics, religion, or anything like that. But I do have to say this change of power has me worried. I’m so thankful to be living in a small rural town!
Take it easy my dear friends! What are you working on this week? Whatever you do do it in love!
It’s me again. Typing one handed but I just had to get this beauty on the blog! Isn’t this Shine Quilt beautiful? My client made this for her granddaughter. We used a variegated thread with colors of orange, pink, and yellows! We used Midnight Sparkle as the edge to edge.
We are also now taking LongArm Quilt requests for February and March. It will fill up fast so get your request in!!
Sunday night football and Sunday night our hot water tank passed over. It’s been giving us fits so it will be nice to have a new one. Unfortunately we will have to move out stacked washer and dryer to fix it. Life. It’s a never ending story of good and bad. I try to always just look at the good and not worry about the rest. It is what it is!
But look at this beautiful Snowflake quilt I got to work on! The fabrics were gorgeous. All those pretty purples I just loved! It has a pretty snowflake flannel backing and lime green binding. I love how it turned out. It was a lot of fun!
We have a very busy week ahead. I’m trying to stick to my calendar of quilts as much as I can. Hopefully tomorrow won’t be a big long ordeal at Lowe’s and I can get home at a descent time. But really it’s Lowe’s. So. Much. Stuff. I love! I’m thinking Christmas lights. A couple new plants! Oh yes! Do you like to go to the home shops? I love it. Every time I get at least one to two plants! Of course I need them. I only have like 20 in our small house lol. 🤷♀️
I started a new book this weekend. It is called Illusions by Richard Bach. It really hit me toward the end how we see the world and how we have so much control over that with our minds. I love books like that. I believe our minds are so powerful. I’m going to start sharing my books here. Outside of sewing my books are my next favorite!!!
We are suppose to be getting snow tomorrow and my fingers are crossed that it does snow!! The first snow of the season is always so exciting! I would prefer to be in Florida living but since we are still here than I say bring on the snow! Please!
I’m working on a Gather quilt. It’s Suzy’s newest pattern. I had really hoped to work on the top this weekend but things got away from me. So hopefully this week while I’m on the Longarm I can get it pieced!
Well I hope you have a great Sunday night. Signing off here cold in Indiana.
