~~ LongArm Rental Guidelines and Holiday Booking ~~
As some of you may know we do rent out our machine. We wanted to provide this option for people in the area who have always wanted to learn, but didn’t have the accessibility. After a few of these rentals we realized we needed to clarify the process and break down the fees.
Every individual who would like to rent the LongArm will have to complete two training classes, the first of which is $55. This first class will give you much needed information about how to operate the machine and the basics of LongArm quilting. You will have to provide your own small quilt for this training, but nothing larger than a baby crib size. The next training will be used on a throw size or small quilt and will be $55. This class will be a hands on session with Lisa who will be there with you the whole time to make sure you are confident in what you are doing and to help answer any questions you might have. Although it is not required, it is advised that you take notes during these two classes to reference back to.
After completing the first two classes you will then be running the machine on your own. Please be aware that Lisa will always be in the studio should you run into a situation and need additional help. If you don’t feel like you are quite ready to go solo and an extra one-on-one training session is available at a flat cost of $80.
Any additional learning sessions will be charged at the normal LongArm fee of the .02 cents per square inch or minimum of $45. We do have batting here that can be purchased if you do not have your own.
Please be aware that all payments are due at the time of service.
LongArm rental requests must be made in advance. We will try to be flexible and accommodate your needs, but we also have our own LongArm clients whose quilts need to be finished.
Due to the Holidays and our own orders, we are unable to book anymore LongArm rentals this year. Starting January 5th LongArm rentals will resume. Make sure you go ahead and book now so that you won’t have a longer wait.
If you have any questions regarding this or anything please feel free to contact us through our contact form. We love hearing from you all.
